Madobe Nanami is a character unofficially created to promote Windows 7 in Japan. She was mostly used in theme packs distributed during the initial sales event for the operating system; the first 7777 copies sold came with special wallpapers and sounds.
Very little information is available for this model or the pack it came in; it was distributed on a promotional CD containing themes, illustrations, and advertisements. The model seems to be made for the Kinect service specifically, and the CD also comes with an FBX version of the same model.
It is available for download via the Internet Archive and a reupload on deviantART, though both unofficially.

While there is no policy or readme for the specific model, a readme for portrayal of the OS-tan characters in derivative was included in a promotional CD.
Trivia[]
- While she was promoted with groups affiliated with Microsoft (Windows 7 Mania Office, Windows 7 sales agencies), Nanami was not officially 'owned' by Microsoft. She is, however, one of the only 'official' OS-tan characters (for Windows 8 and Windows Azure), though the others never received models.
- Nanami has an official Twitter account with posts "made" by the character. With the discontinuation of Windows 7 she has been considered to have "graduated", and the account is now inactive, with Toko - the Windows 10 OS-Tan - taking over on her own account
