Piku resulted from a parody of KEI's box art illustration of Hatsune Miku^[1]. Ironically, KEI was also responsible for said parody- he illustrated the Blu-Ray Disc cover for gdgd Fairies.^[2] Considering the show's nature of parodizing anime and its target audience includes the NicoNicoDouga community, this fits.
